Lea Pischke holds a degree in fine art from the School of Fine Art in Marseille, France, and a Master’s in music technology from the School of Perfoming Arts at Bath Spa University in the UK. After successfully participating in the DanceIntensive programme at Tanzfabrik Berlin, Lea completed her education in choreography at SEAD in Salzburg, Austria, and P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels, Belgium.
As a dancer, Lea performed with visual artist Nicole Wendel, media artist Michael Baumann, choreographers Constanza Macras – DORKYPARK, Grace Euna Kim, Isabelle Schad, Stefan Dreher and Judith Sánchez Ruíz amongst others.
Since September 2020 Lea is member of STREAM, a collective of live art writers associated with Tanzfabrik Berlin.
From 2017 to 2020, Lea was a reviewer for Viereinhalb Saetze, an online platform for performing arts.
From 2004 to 2011, she held the position as sound engineer, head of performance programming and co-director of the Cube Microplex, an art centre in Bristol.
Lea lives in Berlin and works in Germany and France.
Her organisation Harakat is based in Lyon.
